Prior to relocating to the Gilman-Onarga area Jerry graduated from the University of Illinois with a Bachelor’s Degree in Agricultural Economics.  He worked as an Assistant County Supervisor with the Farmers Home Administration of the U.S.D.A. and served two years in the U.S. Army with a tour in the Republic of South Vietnam, being awarded the Bronze Star.

Jerry and Barbara Haynes have provided a full line of Insurance Services to their customers in Iroquois and Ford Counties since starting their business in 1979.  Insurance coverages are provided by well known local Insurance Companies including Belle Prairie Mutual Insurance Co., Grinnell Mutual Reinsurance Co., Metropolitan Property and Casualty Insurance Co. Progressive Insurance Co., Sentry Insurance Co., Farmers Mutual Hail Insurance of Iowa, and Rain and Hail Insurance Services Co.
